Rings:  At Midnight Alchemy we use The British Ring Sizing Scale which is alphabetical. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that you order the correct size; if you are unsure of your ring size, please check with a jeweller. If you know your ring size using another nationality's scale, please convert it to British sizing; there are many websites that can help with this, or, again, check with a jeweller.  If ordering rings that cover a lot of skin, i.e. more than 3 stacking rings or thick bands, you may need to go up half a ring size to ensure a comfortable fit, just email us and let us know.

If you see a ring that you like that is a one off item but it is not your size, please contact us to discuss a bespoke order.

Bangles: The standard bangle size in the UK is 21cm. We also offer smaller size at 18cm and a larger one at 23cm. If you need a different size, please let us know.

Wedding Rings: If you decide to order wedding rings from us, please be aware that we will make sample rings from cheaper metals and send these to you before starting work on the final items. This is to ensure that you are 100% happy with the style, shape and fit before you pay us for the rings and before making begins. Because we provide this service a deposit of  £30 for 2 rings (or £15 for one) is required to cover the cost of designing and making the samples for you. Please note that this is a non-refundable deposit but it will be deducted from your the cost of your final wedding rings should you be happy with your samples and wish to have Midnight Alchemy Designs create your final wedding rings.

Ring and Bangle Re-sizing: If you need your ring re-sizing, there is a £10 charge for rings without gemstones and a £15 charge for rings with gemstones in order to cover postage back to you, time and materials used. Please note that all rings and bangles are made to order to your specific size/ requirements, therefore they are classed as personalised items and the re-sizing cost falls with the customer. Finally, if you are returning a ring to us for re-sizing, we advise that you send it as a tracked package if not special delivery as Midnight Alchemy Designs will not take responsibility for items that are lost or damaged in the post. If sending an item from outside of the UK, please mark the package clearly as a RETURN so that we don't incur any customs charges. Items with a fee attached will be refused.

SHIPPING: Most items are made to order so please allow 10 - 14 working days. If this is likely to be longer for certain items, it will say in the information and description of the item. Wedding rings and bespoke orders take considerably longer but this can be discussed on a case by case basis, please contact us for more information. We will let you know when your item is on its way. Certain times of the year can be busier than others, but if there is likely to be a delay we will let you know.

All normal parcels are sent via Royal Mail First Class which takes around 3 - 5 working days.

All wedding rings are sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery which will cost £6.60. This is trackable, requires a signature, and should arrive with you within 24 hours AFTER ORDER COMPLETION. Your items are also guaranteed up to £500.

Unfortunately we currently do not ship outside of the UK and Europe. If ordering for delivery within Europe but outside of the UK, please use the contact us form to  discuss your requirements and shipping costs.

RETURNS:  For returns for re-sizing, please see above.

All returns are dealt with on a case by case individual basis.  Please contact Midnight Alchemy Designs by email or using the 'Contact Us' form on this website.

Please don't send anything to Midnight Alchemy Designs expecting a return without contacting us first.  Also note, all refunds will be sent via the original method of payment.

In accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if you are not 100% happy with your purchase, please notify us of the issue via email or by using the Contact Page within 30 days of receiving your item and someone will get back to you to organise your exchange/refund (where applicable). Please note that custom orders, including all rings and bangles sized specifically to order are non exchangeable nor refundable unless deemed faulty by Midnight Alchemy. If work has already started, a fee may be incurred.

If you have received a faulty item, or a fault appears with the item within 6 months of your purchase date, please contact us and we will arrange a replacement or repair for you. Please note that Midnight Alchemy Designs will have the final say on whether the item is faulty, and items damaged through neglect, force, or mis-use will not be repaired or replaced by Midnight Alchemy Designs and the cost will fall with the customer.

We want you to be happy with your purchase and will work with you, where reasonable, to ensure that you are. Only items returned in original, unworn, saleable condition, within the 7 day period, may be considered for refunds/exchanges.

All items are made from 925 silver and all pieces weighing 7.5g or more are hallmarked. All gold items are hallmarked. Please allow time for custom orders to be hallmarked; again, if this is going to go past the 10 working days making period, we will let you know.

Care of your Jewellery: All pieces of jewellery need to be treated kindly, but some need more care than others: Opals, amber, turquoise and moonstones do not react well to water or steam. Opals are the most sensitive and can easily crack when exposed to steam and water and amber and moonstones can become cloudy. Opals also don't respond well to being bumped around so be especially careful when wearing opal pieces.

As with all jewellery, exercise caution when wearing pieces during sport and cleaning. There's a reason why our P.E. teachers made us put plasters on our ears. And we all know that jewellery and cleaning products (including nail varnish remover) don't mix well.

All jewellery needs a clean and a polish from time to time; silver is especially prone to tarnishing. Please be careful when cleaning your pieces; silver dips are available but these can damage many stones. Polishing cloths are often a better choice and are available from most jewellers.

Remember to remove items when bathing, swimming, cleaning, exercising and doing manual work that could damage your lovely new items.
